Dad's birthday card

March was a very busy month for me. It was also Dad's birthday, and this is the card I made for him. I kept it simple and masculine but added interest with those cute button brads and some faux stitching.

We gave him some gold class movie tickets so the pockets inside were to house those. He was not too happy with me putting his age on it, so I decided that next year I'll have to make it even bigger!

It was my first time inking up this stamp, gotta say I love it!

A Shelli case

This is card I cased from Shelli using my favourite Sale a bration set Bliss. This set is only available till the end of the month and is free with any $100 purchase.

Using Presto Patterns Specialty Papers

I was going through my paper supply the other day and came across these beautiful papers I had completely forgot about. They are the Presto Patterns Specialty Papers from the current mini which concludes at the end of the month. They were such fun to use. I simply sponged ink over the paper, and da dah, the pattern appears. So cool.

Making cards for my mother is always very difficult as she makes such lovely cards herself. But I gave it a go and here is what I came up with for her this year.
I used the stamp set 'Greenhouse Garden' which is in the main catalogue, some lace and mini tag from the mini and a colour combo I always like, marina mist, early expresso, crumb cake and vanilla. Oh and used 'Bliss' yet again. I'm still not tired from using this beautiful stamp.

I even stamped the inside of her card......I don't do this nearly often enough!

Easter Class - Sat 19th, Wed 23rd and Sat 26th March

This class is all about Easter - a great time to share your beautiful handmade creations with friends and family.
We will be making this cute little bird house egg containers, made super easy with the milk carton die. I love this one!

And for the girls a watering can egg holder.

This was my sons favourite card. Kids just love lots of colour in any project, therefore making this a good card for a young family. The Bliss swirls in the background are actually stamped in the champagne ink, for some shimmer.

Then for someone a little older, perhaps this card made using water colour crayons on water colour paper and a vellum embossed background. It's very easy.

And lastly a serene and pretty card decorated with some handmade felt flowers, and a silver greeting.

I am running this class on Saturday the 19th at 10.30am, Wednesday 23rd at 10am and again on Saturday the 26th at 10.30am. Class cost is $25 and includes all materials and tools. All welcome, but please email me to reserve a spot.

My trip book class for Sat 5th and Wed 9th

I have to start by saying this class was totally inspired from a book made by Teneale Williams. I thought the idea was fantastic and her execution fabulous so had to make up my own.

So this class is all about creating a journal where you can record holiday memories, place photos and memorabilia in the many pockets and envelopes throughout the book. I have also included a place to record the holiday destination on the front of the book.

It's just impossible to show you all the pages, and besides you would probably fall asleep looking at them all - but each one is different to the next. I think you will enjoy looking through it for years once it is completed. And there is enough embellishment throughout so completing the journal after your holiday will be a cinch. You are welcome to customise your book with any of the stamps I have, so yours can be a boat, plane or road journal. I am thinking one of mine would also make a great gift for a friend travelling overseas in June!

I am currently offering this class on Sat 5th at 10.30am and Wed 9th March at 10am. If the Saturday class fills I will possibly hold another the following week, but will let you know. Cost is $25 and includes all materials and tools for the class and a light morning tea. If anyone attending owns a sahara sand inkpad it would be helpful if you could bring that along.
All welcome but please email me to reserve a spot.
